@casportpony in regards to using as a incubator as a hatcher. What would work best, an automatic or a still air? I have eggs that need to be set pretty soon, but not all of my eggs are here to set. I was thinking about using the auto bator for incubation, and trying to get a still air to do the hatching in so I'm not worried about the time crunch so much. (lol, give me leeway for those darn egg auctions too!)
Do you have any suggestions on how to go about with that?

Hi Chris, I think I would prefer the circulated air for incubation and hatching, but if you're trying to save money, I think a still air will be perfect for hatching.

Thanks, Kathy! I've already spent more than I had expected for this hatching run, so I am trying to save a few dollars. In the long run though, it would probably be cheaper to just get another circulated unit. I know I'll be buying a fan and turner kit down the road if I don't. Decisions, decisions...
It's a shame my money math doesn't work like my chicken math.

Today has been a very trying day already... I'm in need of lots of very loud music right now, maybe even a hug. I'm not going to go to deep in to it publicly, but I'll never move someone in to my house out of the kindness of my heart again. The toll it has taken on my family is just unacceptable. They have vacated the premises this morning, but the damage is already done.

I don't like to bring this stuff up here, but sometimes you just need to get stuff of your chest. That's today for me.
You folk are awesome by the way, and I appreciate your kind-hearted nature. With as abrasive as the world can be, it's nice to talk with folks who actually care about some of the better more positive things in life.
