I had a lavender orp in Bantam she was 9 when she passed away last year such a sweet mild mannered hen and a wonderful mama. I have 2 chocolate Orpintons and a Mauve Orpington they are all Bantam size wonderful hens and great broodys and mamas. As you can tell I love to have live bators.

I'm hoping next year, to be able to just use broodies. I just got to darn in patient this year.

Well the Isbar egg has not changed. Though when I looked in ther incubator, I saw the pencil line I drew and thought it hatched. Got all excited for nothing... there is a spot that while turning in the light, you can see what looks like liquid flowing. No physical moments though, and it's starting to smell bad.
Time to clean thr incubator and start fresh...
On a positive note, I was sent 6 extras, so hopefully I'll have better chances.

By the way, I knew that individual eggs could potentially stink oh, I didn't realize how bad the actual incubator was going to smell when it was all done though. Human hatchling poop stinks, apparently chicken hatching doesn't smell any better especially in the warm moist conditions.

I've had a few stinkers over time. There's no mistaking that smell. The last thing you ever want to hear when running the bator is a pop.
