Do you watch their show "fool us" ? It's pretty good. I get so dang happy for some of the people when they win and that F U trophy comes down .

I've only seen it a few times, but I did just learn it's on hulu. Maybe I'll have to watch it some more.

Grats on the new duckling. Whew, you're not kidding. They do take their time!

I've had a few stinkers over time. There's no mistaking that smell. The last thing you ever want to hear when running the bator is a pop.

I didn't have one pop in the incubator, but I did have one pop in the kitchen counter. I've got a cast iron stomach, and I thought it was going to make me pop.

1 guinea
8 tiny chickens

9 chicks
18 hatching eggs

A couple of the chicks will be going to my neighbor, and some of them are going to be raised for meat.

The ducks are safe. I couldn't harvest any of them, especially the Runners.
The Pekin though, they seriously missed the chopping block by about 5 minutes on day...
I literally went and got a machete just for them, then I remember that if it where not for them, I would have never found out how much I love ducks, and felt a bit like a schmuck for thinking about it.

lol... Those are safe too. I have Bared Rock, Broiler, EE chicks. Not all will be eaten, but some will.
