I see a boat!!! :lol:
The guy who owns it has such a sad story. He's never had a chance to float his boat. He owned a roofing company that was doing pretty well. Small business, only a couple of employees, but had a good reputation for being fair. Right after he bought the boat (a "you made it" gift to himself) he got very ill. He's only in his 50's but looks closer to 80. I'm not sure what he is effected by, but he has a nurse there 12 hours a day. Most of the neighbors take care of his yard and trash for him.

Poor guy. :hugs I pray he gets better soon!

Hey there are so many Muscovy in Florida you could probably just ride around to lakes an ponds an get ya some. :thumbsup
Trim, you NEED scovies!
Get 'em! ;)

Oh I have thought about that many of times!
Can you sex Scovies like Mallard based ducks?
I've read they are much quieter than other ducks, would you agree? My Pekin is VERY loud compared to the others here. The Runners and Ancona have a more rapid and repetitive quack, but Big Momma lets out the long drawn out quacks that are seriously loud. I've asked the neighbors, and nobody can her it in their house, but everyone know she's there.

One of the parents at X's bus stop and I were talking, chickens came up, so I brought up ducks... "Oh, you're the one with the ducks? I can hear them every now and then." He lives on the next block and about 4 houses down.
:th

I just found aYou folks just might see me on the news for Quack Napping
Muscovys are called the quackless ducks.. drakes are huge have more carnucles than females that two characteristics between the sexes. Drake huff females make a sweet trolling noise.
This might be a silly question, but in nature are there less drakes than ducks? Only reason I ask is when I've visited the Scovies here, they all seemed on the smaller side. The biggest ones where barley the size of Big Momma. However there is a CL ad and their drakes look twice the size of the ducks.

Lol, I'd bet for the price of some mealworms I could have a whole new flock of ducks. >:}
With my luck though you'll see me on the evening new "Florida man arrested today for Quack Napping."
