Oh I agree. About 10 more acres and 15 more coops, and I'll be half way where I want to be lol.
So far though, I've got nothing from the hatching but heartache. :(

I wasn't going to even try again, but @WVduckchick helped raise my spirits, so I'm giving it at least 1 more try.
I pray they hatch very well for you, and you NEVER have to experience a hatch as bad as the last one ever again! :fl

Hey there, Elly.

So I'll get some Scovies, you get some Runners and we can talk even more about how awesome out ducks are lol. :D

A good friend on mine lives up in the Green Mountain range of Vermont. He's been dealing with immigration recently to get his fiance over here. It's amazing how difficult that process is, but that's not the point of my post.

It looks like he might have to leave the country for ~6-12 months. One issues he has to deal with in regards to that is rehoming his dog. He told me of 3 people that said if anything ever came up they would take Bella in. I told him he could add us to that list, and we instantly went to the top of the list. Normally I would not be very hasty to take in another dog, but Bella is a giant sweetheart. She is a Bernese Mountain Dog, and a fluffy giant she is!

I've taken my dogs down to visit (he's a snowbird) and all the pups got along like old friends. Plus, Bella lives with chickens 6 months out of the year, and is a great guardian. No animal aggression at all, but let a predator come on the grounds and she will defend the flock. Plus she like to take naps with me already! :D

Nothing is set in stone yet, and it likely would not be for another 3-6 months, but I'm excited to have her, and he's excited that she can come here. You know a person trusts you if they leave you in their house unattended. Leaving their best friend in your care though, that to me is being honored. I'm excited to have her come down, whenever it may be. :D
