I am no longer getting the Blue Birchen Maran cockerel. :(
The ladies of his flock have decided they like hims so he is going to stay with them. I did however get an offer just as awesome! Twice as awesome depending on how you look at it. ;)
I'll be taking a small road trip to go pick up 2 Dampierre cockerels from the same person. I won't be able to make OEs with them, and only 1 is going to be able to stay, but It's still a rare and unique breed to have around. Plus the hens of this breed are crested. It would be kind of neat to have some NN with mottled patterns, white ear lobes, 3rd waddle, and little crests. One can imagine right?

I'm going to have to clip wing. Not only Have the NN came over, but the ACs followed them today. Three times so far. :he The ACs barley try to fly,it normally just a running flap. All the sudden, they're in the front yard.

Yeah, it's Lake Eola, kind of a "safe place" for water fowl. It at one time was just a few swans, but over the years it's grown. One year there was a couple of swans were stolen, and the city placed some special protection over the birds there. After that the population and selection just started growing.

When we got there, one of the park attendants was filling the bird feeders. He saw me and Xaiden talking about the birds and gave X a couple hand fulls of feed to throw out. It tickled him pink, and got a couple of large swans to come up.

Jonah was a little trooper today. He was a crawling machine today! He loves the grass and there was plenty of it there for him to roam around in. Those boys kept my busy today. :D
Your kiddos are so precious. You are a good daddy!!!! :hugs

I sure hope so. Besides the pupils, it looks fine. This morning it was standing up. It's toes and legs are square and sturdy. Hopefully it makes it over thre next couple if days.

Do you start using nutri-drench from day 1 for all new chicks? Should I use some ND water to make the mash?
I put it in their water right from the start. Never used it in water for mash but don't think it would hurt.

No, it’s typical of newly hatched chickies to have that "glare" looking thing sometimes. It goes away. Cute little chick!
I sure do hope so! It's not looking so great just yet though. It seems to have balance, or maybe just awareness issues. I'm going to give it some food now and see how it does.
