I also like to play around with Muscovy color genetics on the Muscovy calculator. I'm still trying to learn the different genetic notations, though. I know a few basics but not a whole lot, it's fun anyways.

Okay guys, time to be serious for a moment. Raising chickens is causing issues with Mary and I. Specifically trust issues, the worse kind a marriage can have. Right now we only have 1 vehicle, and most of the time Mary takes it to work. Once every couple of weeks I'll need to run some errands, and take her to work. Today is one of those days. So when I drop Mary off this morning, she looks at me and starts this conversation. It breaks my heart she doesn't trust me...

No going and getting chickens today. Go get the feed, and go home.

Playing with the calculator was fun once I figured out what a blue birchen make up was. The BBM x BR had some interesting possibility. One of the male results was a blur barred, silver birchen. It also said only the males would be barred. Oh, well, a good reason to go play with it again tonight.

Good morning DiyMomma! Thank you for the kind words, I enjoy sharing it was everyone. I'm not sure if I'd be able to make that cross with my current birds. All the NN are pullets, and I might have a Silkie cockerel (not sure yet) but the Silkies are bantams. Though it'd probably be one of the funniest matting sessions ever. I might have to build the little fella a ramp to get up there.

I want a frizzle Showgirls roo just so I can name him RuPaul.
He'd be my "pretty pretty chicken."
