Yesterday I called for the quacks, and as usual, they came running. All but the Pekins... They took about 5 minutes to show up, and were filthy. Still not sure what they were doing.

I wasn't expecting any hatches until tonight, but they started already!

What color are the CLB males? This one looks black, but it's still wet.

I need to write you by the way. Sorry I've not done so earlier. Life snuck up and bit me in the rump.

I personally think cochin babies are the cutest. All fuzzy all over. Silkies rank right up there tho. :D

The CL males will have a big white splotch on the head and are usually lighter colored all over. So Dark is good, more likely female. The girls should have distinct dark stripes down their back, like chipmunk chicks, and little to no white on top of their head.

I'm pretty sure it's a female. It looks like they're are the strips on the back. Last I seen it was a couple hours ago, but hopefully it'll be fluffed out when I go inside. Hopefully more chicks too!
:D
