If you can keep soaking in warm Epsom salt water then use the triple antibiotic. Hopefully as the foot heals the swelling will go down.

Any idea what is going on with my chick?! Do these look like pecking wounds? With my glasses broken, and the red from the heat lamp, I'm not sure how long these have been there. I'd guess no more than 2 days...

Probably Chris chicks will do this to each other’s face then if they get a small sight of blood it can get out of hand. If you have blue kote take a q tip and dab these places it will disguise and help heal. Make sure they have plenty of room and it’s not too warm in their brooder.

Okay, I got worried it could be a symptom of something. I don't have any blue kote yet, but I am doing a supply run today. Would they carry that at a fed store?
It could also be to warm. With the recent weather the windows have been opening and closing a lot. I'll give them a bit more distance and see how things go.

Feed store should have it get the one with the dauber in it an not the spray that way you have more control where it goes it’s very staining where it lands! I use the dauber by blotting on a b paper towel first if using anywhere beside the face for faces I use a q tip. And I see spoiled and over ripe! Mrs Blue is beautiful!! Good Morning! Anyone going to do Black Friday? I bet @duluthralphie is there right now standing in line to get into the stores that are selling ducklings to add to his collection of Dux you know the secret dux collection he has and doesn’t want any of us to know about!! ( giggle)

Awesome, time to get the little fluff ball back to normal. Would you say the swelling is just from irritation of being pecked at?

Mary got a new carseat for Jonah already. She saved something like $150 on it.

I've got my eye on an auction for some GFF chicks. Not the laughing chickens sadly, but they also have a 15+ lot of Bresse chicks, and a 12 pack of mixed random breed chicks. If one ends at a low enough price, I just might bid. There's more hope than reality there though... The laughing chickens are up to $340, but it's a $1,000 package. Still out of my budget a few hundred ago.
