Their everywhere Chris! I haven’t ever had to deal with crop issues either but I meant rec them coming here for advise I’m glad some stepped up to help.
I did reach out and they signed up. I've not had a chance to check for their introduction yet. I have them links to the ER section and of course here too. ;)

Well I'm bored. I've been up since 2:45 this morning. Already listened to 2.5 album's of music. Drank 30oz of coffee. Read about an interesting chicken breeding method. Sat and pet Chase, our semi-psycho cat. I didn't get bitten but it came close. Read some reviews on products I'm interested in. It's almost time for chicken chores and now I'm ready to go back to sleep.

Annie has gone broody. She's been teasing it for a while now. I'm wondering if having 2 mommas would increase the chicks security from the other adults, or cause potential chaos between 2 moms.

Of course if she sits I'll be outta eating eggs. I'd go from 1 egg a day to no eggs a day. It's not much of a loss but it is a 100% drop in production which is pretty steep. Think about that paradox for a moment. ;)

Anyone have experience with that? The multi-mommas, not the paradoxical mathematics.

Good morning by the way!

So I'm still bored...

Going to make a roost from a dining room table we don't use. When my Mary's job moved locations, they gave us a bunch of extra furniture, and this will actually be the 5th table I've converted for the birds.

I need to also get a new nestbox for the bantams. I've got a spare cart used in kitchens for a cutting board and extra storage. We don't use it anymore, so I'll be modifying it for the little ones. With the doors on it I'm thinking it will make it easier to break broodies by denying access.

Thinking of making a swing out of the carts handle. It's shaped/groved perfectly to attach hanging straps. It's very smooth and round so I'm thinking of trying to spiral cut it on the table saw. Not that I really know how, but that's part of the fun I guess. It might end up being ugly, but it'll be grippy.

Okay... time for some more coffee. :caf
The sun is finally up.
Have a quack of a mornin y'all!
(I'm still bored btw ;))
