I love the mellow roosters! When Rufus and his brothers were here he had 3, I watched them all till they were 16 weeks old, the other boys would be fighting each other and Rufus was hanging out with the ladies. He got chosen to stay. The other 3 became chicken and dumplings. Those roos being game were fighters too, I could go up and pick them up off the ground they would be so exhausted from going at it for hrs. They would go limp once I picked them up. Crazy things

Oh the pondering just won't stop! I went to the training class, chatted with the trainer, and I'm still confused on what I think is best.

Assuming the dog doesn't show aggression, I'm confident I could work with her. I'm just concerned about the kid's and dog's safety.

The trainer suggested asking for a trial period. Gave me some pointers on behavior to watch for when I meet her. Also some suggestions on how I should act to help feel her out. She explained some stuff about her class too.

Lots to think about...

Strange fact about her. She won't eat good quality food. Turns her nose at it. He mentioned 4 brands (including the one we use) he tried and she won't eat them.

Cosmo hated all quality foods. We went through four brands before he was a year old, and he'd constantly leave it in the bowl. We started doing half fresh food (a farmers dog brand) and half of the quality kibble and he gobbles it up. It's expensive as all get out, though. I'm pretty sure we spend more in a month feeding this turd than we do our son. 😂 Just kidding. He's 11 and eats like we're never getting another meal ever in life.
