Well it looks like I've got some catching up to do. In the mean time, I got a few Malay chicks over night! Still not sure if these is they are pure, but they do look like asiatic fowl chicks to me. What do you think @Pyxis?

Congrats on joining! I too joined after @rjohns39 made me aware of them. The endangered list is very handy to use for quick references to breeds.well hi guys I just want to say I just became a member of the live stock conservancy . i was amazed of all the animals that are on the critical list. has any one ever gone to any of there annual conference ? I saw the American buff is on the watch list makes me want to breed mine Shetland geese are on the critical list . I always wanted to breed them but were do you fine them .
Over the last couple of years (at least here in Fl) there has been talk about kangaroo farms coming here. From what I've read it's a sustainable meat, with good health benefits.I have. I think I was 6 when I first tried it at a bush tucker day at school. It's a very rich meat, but not gamey. And its packed with all the good stuff. They are probably like deer are over there but do less damage to fences because they just jump over.
Awww poor kiddo! How sweetMorning friends!! Didn't check in yesterday so I have a lot of catching up to do
My youngest has pretty much put me in the dog house for a couple days. Found someone in my area hoping to get into ducks, so naturally I emailed them back with some information and offered them any I have hatch out of this batch of 6 due March 2. Told the lady I would only want to keep them a few days to make sure they're healthy, then she's welcome to them. So Cullin, the baby, hit the roof!! "28 DAYS AND YOU'RE JUST GOING TO SELL THEM" In my disbelief of his outrage, I did have to give him credit for remembering the incubation period![]()
They have used the nest box, but not always. What's strange here is I have 3 that lay together faithfully. It's not always in the same spot, but the 3 are always together.Anyone elses runner use a nesting box or did I just get lucky?View attachment 2032363
