Might be a silly question but do you guys give your ducks grit and oyster shell? I've never had ducks but I wasn't sure if they're like chickens in that way or not.

Yes they are ... I always do free choice

I can honestly say I have never given grit or oyster shells to a dux.

I have however emptied shells on dux...

I don't give any extra grit or shell to any of my birds, but I'm guessing with all our different soil they find their own. If you give some to your chooks then just have it as free choice for the ducks too. They'll either eat it or they won't.
