Do you want a jubilee Eng Orp cockerel? There is someone in the FL thread trying to rehome one. Would go great with your blue jubilee girl. ;)
Gotta say I'm abit jelly of you guys ability to have as many and experiment as much as you like! I am looking forward to the step by step photo diary!

I think I'm going to hold out for a silver or gold laced roo as my main guy. I heard TWO out of the three chocolate mottled orpington guys crowing this afternoon. 😳

I checked their hatch date and it was December 6th. So they just turned 3 months. The non-crower is a little lighter in color with a smaller, but still red, comb. Anyone think I'll get lucky and have a pullet? Am I delusional?

Possible Pullet AKA Kate is delusional??

Both crowing cockerels. They're both darker and have bigger wattles/combs. I think. Or I hope.

I'm still trying to figure out at what point they become mottled. These guys were hatched from chocolate mottled orpington eggs from Woodfield Farms.

Hows the saddle feathers look on possible pullet? My 2 roos I had started getting their boy feathers at this age, and the saddle ones were the most obvious

More pictures!

I think The Quack Shack is officially done. We finished painting and doing trim this afternoon. I was going to do vertical trim on the corners but I think I'm over it so... I don't want to. Next will be the hardware cloth run project. I think it'll end up being 50 ft long by 20ish feet wide. Put some shavings in the coop and a kiddie pool in the run and boom, ready for ducks!

Also, yes I realize that some of the trim doesn't match up at all. :gig We are NOT carpenters in any way, shape, or form. We had mostly wood leftover from our barn build, so it didn't cost much to build and it'll hold a few ducks! I'm not sure the ducks care if we're master carpenters. At least I hope they don't or I'm in trouble...

Actually the most expensive part was the solar pop door, but that's worth it's weight in gold.
