@Muscovy Wunda hows the virus affecting y’all?
For the most part people are doing the right thing. Our governments handling it well. The number of fines (for being out with no reasonable reason) handed out state wide in the last 24hrs has got the message across to people they need to stay home. Starting from $1000, up to $11000 with six months jail time. Our main worry is the selfish people wrongfully stealing from hospitals (in one case emptying out the hand sanitiser and refilling it with water). I'm still shocked how low our numbers are, your numbers are scarey! Then again our entire population would fit in NY.

I set the Schofield Silver quail eggs too. To the best of my knowledge, the Schofield Silver is not a specific variety, but a color scheme that expands across multiple varieties (is that right @Pyxis?). If so, I'd gues that's why the eggs have different characteristics. There's some really neat ones. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Yep! Schofield Silvers can be different colors, just all based around Silver. And sometimes you can hatch out, say Tibetans.

Feathered legs and five toes! And some of them, though not this one that I brought home, also looked like they might have little crests.

I wonder what they accidentally crossed.

Looks like maybe a Silkie or Silkie cross with those toes, feathered legs, and the black skin? But doesn’t exactly look like a Silkie, no puffy cheeks or head, so  must be accidental mutts like you said haha

It's definitely Large Fowl and not a bantam. Silkie cross was my first thought as well, but then it should be muffed, since that's a dominant gene. I wonder if it's some sort of new hybrid they've been working on.

More likely just a 'whoops' breeding though, haha.
