Storms last night and the electricity went out and the generator didn't come on. They told me the mother board can go out in lightning. what's a generator for????

Afternoon all. That sucks. We don't have house generators so when we get summer storms (and they cut the power everytime to out of towners so they don'tget power sturges) I whip out the old bed sheets, wet them and hang them in the window and door openings. Makes it comfortable
