Good Day, Afternoon, Evening, Night or Morning inhabitants of the blue marble!

Ducklings are four weeks old. They started changing color literally over night!

I remember my first ducklings: »OMG, their bellies are so dirty!!! They need a bath!« - Gave them a bowl with luke warm water and the "mud" wouldn't wash off…

I'm now up to four. The hoards are pounding at the gate. I may need to go through with trying to sell.

Also I have to brag. Cara Cara orange, Rio Red Grapefruit, Satsumas, all grown by me! I bought the blueberries

Go figure. Most of the time I can't give duck eggs away. I joined a next door post about donating to a shelter. There's a line 3 deep outside my gate wanting eating and hatching.

Are they wanting the eggs you want to donate to a shelter? Or are they happy to pay for extras?

Are they wanting the eggs you want to donate to a shelter? Or are they happy to pay for extras?

They want the eggs I was going to donate to the shelter. These people are hungry. Either I'm a sucker or its worse out there than I thought.

See the eating ones are okay. But the ones wanting for hatching I'd be weary of. I'm very weary of donating to those that aren't involved with a charity group thou because it's hard to tell who is in genuine need and who is taking advantage

You're right. And so is my husband. I'm a soft touch, if somebody tells me they are hungry and are eating squirrel I get sucked in. I guess I'm a mark.

Don't worry I think we all get sucked in from time to time. I would look at it as a blessing because it means most people have been good and honest to you. Most people are good.

Well I figure if 90% are lying and 10% are telling the truth, I'd rather be a sucker than leave someone hungry. Plus, I don't like squirrel.
