Sorry for bad lighting I went and took some. Full disclaimer: they are now free ranging with the Wyandottes but were seperated since they arrived and was 8 and 10 weeks when we collected eggs. Sold as buffs. The one who has decided to sit is the lightest colour of the 3. I've questioned if somehow the partridge wyandotte mated through the aviary mesh but besides colour there is no other indication. Is that even possible?Well that's odd. We're positive both parents were buff orps? Also, can you post pictures of the parents?
Buff orp chicks should be solid orange, for sure. Even hatchery buff orp chicks are solid orange, I've never seen a purebred buff orp chick with coloration like that.
