I'm going to try. I've suggested the sheriff office here which has a farm and a livestock rescue. I've been the benefit of it when I lost my baby bull. I'm out of town right now and don't have a trailer for these guys. There are currently two horses and a pony running around the hood. The two horses seem to know each other but the ponys alone.

This is just so sad. Maybe contacting rescues in other states they could help. There has got to be a way to help these horses and ponies and no telling what else.

here's my little baby bull that went walkabout and I didn't notice he was gone. Sheriff picked him up and I got him back.

His mom was down with other cows about 50 miles away. Probably tried to separate him too soon. He's doing good now.

Is it even legal, though? Can the owners come back and reclaim them?

Yes. They keep them for 6 weeks for you to claim them and then sell at auction. I had to pay $300 to get my little bull back. That includes transporting him and feeding him. I thought it was a little steep but glad to have him back. Its actually better than spca as they have an actual farm and take very good care of them. I just needed a picture to claim him back. I felt very bad as he was gone for a week before I missed him.

And yes I've started counting cows more often. Learned my lesson
