It is very pretty! But no idea how plants grow in it

The rock is not one straight area, there are a lot of dips and rises. Weather washes anything on the surface down to the lower areas, creating rich and fertile loam. It isn't very deep though, but deep enough for plants to set root. The lower areas have lots of trees and water (we have a swamp in the forest, and this area is full of lakes and rivers and other wetlands).

Even on the exposed rock, mosses and lichen grow, as well as other plants that can send out shallow root systems, trapping more debris that decomposes into more loam. I have to keep the features clean.

Can we ask what project? Must have been inside or you'd be using a flash light.

I got let go from my job last month, on the very last day of my probation (so they didn't have to give me notice, or an explanation) and have been unable to find anything.

So I decided to try and do something I'd been thinking about for the past few years.

I'm currently working on updating my portfolio and start offering up art commissions of people's pets/animals as well as landscapes/houses. Going to do a few samples in various media. Working on one of a duckling, done in watercolours.

This isn't even half done yet. But I'm doing a fully detailed background, too, so that takes more time. Add to that the fact that I haven't drawn in a few years... Lol!

So sorry you got let go. But sometimes a door will close and another open that is even better. I hope you'll show us this when finished I bet it will be beautiful. It already looks great.
Thank you! :hugs

And of course I'll show you, you are one of my targeted client bases!
