Liquid B Complex has helped with issues crested can have too. Might be worth trying.

Oh last evening I decided to hook the hose up so I could actually clean the water buckets, well that didn't go well every splash of water ended up solid ice so now there is an ice skating rink out in the smallest duck area. I should have known better I've been doing this long enough but I just wanted the buckets clean. Frozen poop all over too. Hopefully by tomorrow, I can actually wash everything off. We're at 8 now suppose to get up to 36 today and 60 by next Tuesday a week. Weird weather indeed.

Good Monday morning and evening.
I was thinking that too. I have plenty .

Good Monday morning and evening.
I was able to cover the duck yard with about a foot of woodchips this autumn, which helps a lot. Even when there is ice - and there is ice - the surface is so rough that i won't slip.
Inside of the duck house is another story: They have hard floors now almost everywhere. The combination of duck-poop, hay, leaves and straw would be an excrement building material for the polar regions. It is hard like concrete, yet flexible enough not to crack when big fat humons walk on it. I bet that stuff is bullet-prove too.

But with the temperatures starting to raise today until the end of this week i am not looking forward to all that poop melting at once. I may end up having to (partially) clean out the duck house in the middle of winter…

Greetings! Hope everyone enjoyed some time off!

We'll be ringing in the ne year (supposedly) with above-freezing temps here. Nothing major for highs until Thursday, although it *will* be milder and much less windy this week.

@Miss Lydia Are you okay? You didn't slip on the ice and land on your SEND button, did you? ;)

Poor Elizabeth the crested. She was on her back this morning. Given the amount of poop she was covered in she must have been upside down for some time. She was waving her legs at me for help.I put her in the tub for a swim and she looks better now.
Do you think she is going to have good quality of life? I had to make the terrible decision to euthanize my little Welsh Harlequin duckling a few months ago because she kept having seizures and ending up on her back whenever she ate or drank. It may be a difficult decision you'll have to face. :(

By the number of replies I made thanks to my internet being so screwy it looks like I landed on my send button. :p
