We've got freezing rain in the forecast all night and all day tomorrow...

As promised two days ago, here are the pictures from the new duck-house interior, first an overview of the whole house, taken from the door:

left bottom is the mud-room and the concierge-lodge, followed to the right by the living-room and the two bedrooms in the back. The new thing is the continuous gallery-area, i made a hole into the bedroom divider-wall, so that the ducks can climb up the ramp in the right bedroom and walk around on the gallery to enjoy the scenery in the left bedroom...

How is his eye looking today. I have to order Terramycin too. Our feed store isn't up on carrying much.

I think it bled a little when they fought, there's a scab thing that's coming off. I can see skin under.

I don't understand how people manage to control their ducks long enough to apply medicine. I tried simply crouching next to him, and he decided to jump on my leg and then fly off, smacking me with his wings.
He fought back

I don't understand how people manage to control their ducks long enough to apply medicine. I tried simply crouching next to him, and he decided to jump on my leg and then fly off, smacking me with his wings.
He fought back

Pompom Duck bit me into my nose once, when i tried to give her an antibiotics tablet…
Depending on the duck it can be helpful to use a towel and wrap her/him in like a burrito.
More wild ducks need iron chains and heavy shackles.
For Pompom Duck i used a bear-trap in the end…
