I am with you both on that. I had a one gallon bucket for Momma Duck and a real little one jumped into last year and I lost it. It makes you feel sick when that happens. I would have never believed it could jump that high.

Good news from Buffzilitus: Yesterday evening the 60 grams in weight was reached (60-62gr); today's goal is 80 grams. That left leg becomes more and more stable due to rigorous training outside.

You forgot Buff Orpington in the females, and put Magpie twice.

Mamma Duck Mocha took the ducklings out this morning, so I got to count as well as check the remaining eggs. She has 13 babies with her! And one died in the nest

So that was 14 hatches.

Of the remaining eggs, one had an external pip and was peeping, one or two had internal pips and movement, and the others were maybes. So I put some under Cocoa my Buff who is still sitting even though her eggs were duds, and she can have some babies for herself. She permitted me to do this by only removing my pinky finger.

Congrats to the babies! - How long does it take you to regrow a pinky-finger? My left arm is almost back to normal size since yesterday...

Its brutally hot and humid outside, so i decided to do the duck-duty without the little one - Violeta has at least two ducklings with her, i saw a little yellow head popping up for a second and heart two voices peeping…​

If you're concerned about drowning ducklings, try to get your hands on a kid's slide:

After four days, the ducklings navel has been dried up and healed, so it was time for the first bath. The Ducknagers don't like somebody else using "their" pool… ​

A pinky finger barely takes more than a day. I'm part salamander, after all!

My incubator is full of eggs again. I figured since my white Muscovy was only half-heatedly sitting anymore, and Momma Mocha is being very protective of the littles, I would toss those eggs in there with the remaining ones from Mocha.

There was a surprise chicken egg in there!

I'll candle them later.

That's my table, lol. And yep, I did put magpie twice. I'll have to fix that.

Buff Orpingtons don't go on the female side, though. They're chocolate, so they don't work for chocolate sex linking.
