We lost the little gray duckling…We aren't all you, Frank!
How's the duckling?
I eat a boiled duck-egg almost every morning!Well, the limping duck bathes in the morning, rests in the crate over the day, bathes in the evening, walks around a bit with the others with very few problems, goes beautifully through the entire orchard to the house and.... in the morning is limping heavily again. This is the second night with this kind of experience. So I think an overnight crate inside the house is in order.
@WannaBeHillBilly sometimes we just like boiled eggs - for example as something to add variety to a salad. Peeling boiled eggs is a pain generally but with soft-shelled ones it's super easy. So instead of being a bit problematic they become a benefit.
That sounds like there is some duck on duck action going on during the night. - Which might be the cause for the limp in the first place. If you don't have a drake, one of the ducks will become so dominant that she will use the other's as pool-floats.
