Will this work though if it has been like this for over a year???? I don't want to put him through that if it will not. Also I want to find a day that I can supervise him off and on and right now I am working and not here a lot of the day. Thanks though.Get her/him a sock! - It takes only a few nights to fix it. El Chapo Duckman was fixed after one uncomfortable night, Harry Duckhini needed two. Both are without a sock this night, Harry was hiding from me, expecting to be put back into his sock but i showed the sock to him and threw it away in front of his eyes, telling him that he won't need it anymore. He really brightened up!
Who do you mean? - This oneDoes the blue one with the two black eyes have a name yet? Rocky Duckboa comes to mind...![]()
Yes, Mr. Peaduck is still molting, there are beautiful feathers every day. Apparently PeaDucks molt feather by feather, not like ordinary ducks who sometimes run around with a butt-light or half naked…So spoiled!!!
Are all those peaduck feathers from your 'guest'?
No surprise! - She had a lot to quack about…She has been accepted by the flock![]()
I need to take a picture of Darkbill Duck when she comes back from composting. She has half of the compost mount on top of her bill...I don’t usually make fun of my ducks but this is one that is hilarious and she walked around like this for quite a while. I don't think so. It is said that once the feather base has set into the skin its set...Will this work though if it has been like this for over a year???? Thanks, that's what I kind of figured. It already got it's new feathers an I clipped them so I will have to wait until the next molt. I appreciate your answer.I don't think so. It is said that once the feather base has set into the skin its set...
However, i have heart that these feather bases become somewhat flexible again during their molt, so when the new feathers are growing, a wrap might be able to correct the issue over time.
I imagine it is similar to us wearing braces to correct teeth.
Sounds like you need to invest in some Depends when you mess with your ducks so that you don't get wet pants!!! LOLAlmost wet myself today - twice, no, actually three times:
I coaxed the Incubator Gang into the tomato jungle again and - my tomato plants must really be carnivorous. Duckling #11 and the wimp were caught and the tomato plants had already opened their mouths to swallow them whole. Lucky for these two unlucky fellows dad came to the rescue...Horace ran away screaming as fast as his tiny legs were able to run.
Later i started throwing the imperfect tomatoes towards the ducks so they could eat them, when one of the »thuddds« was followed by an angry QUACK⁉
After finishing today's harvest of threebins i walked back to the patio and noticed Fluffy Fluffbutts juicy red butt! That tomato hit the right target!
