Guys you are all missing that all chickens naturally have e coli in their gut.

Here's a question for you since you know alot.. or read alot any maybe you will have an article for me....dont you think coroners already know that. So would they test and they have to have some number that shows e coli so maybe a test came back more than what a average chickens has. Or am I entirely wrong?

I'm aware of that... but obviously not enough to kill them. Definitely not enough to be found in the crop and blood and kill several of them.

You are correct...e coli was found and probably killed the birds but the lab did not get the whole body of the bird.
The vet sent a piece of an intestine to the lab... according to OPs other thread.


I'm saying no one can claim e coli was in a bag of feed, that all the birds ate...but only some died from...if the food wasn't tested.



What I am saying is there is more to this story.

Op stated that the lab found E. Coli in the crop, and blood stream. Wouldn't that mean that they got the crop, and something else or??

E coli can be from anything I know that I'm just taking word from the lab. I know the birds who died weren't immuno compromised or had bad husbandry. I don't get why you are trying to claim this against someone who has done thousands of nercopsys and tests. Unless you are a vet or lab person who knows everything.....

I'm not saying your ducks didn't die from e coli infections.

I'm saying you didn't have the two bags of feed tested so you can't make the claim it was the feed. That is wrong.

Just say your birds died from e coli. That sucks big time. I'm just pointing out that this:
Looks like an issue that could spread e coli like no body's business.

That is a small space for 50 plus birds.

I'm pointing out that all birds have e coli in their tract.

I'm pointing out that e coli doesn't kill all birds so quickly...that there had to have been something else going on.


You also mention in your other thread that ONLY ducks died. No chickens.

Like I said in a comment above other things were sent to the lab too. I know for sure Blood, Flesh, Crop contents, intestine, ETC. The intestine was just the first one I knew was headed to the lab until I asked more. They could've even sent the whole body I don't know. The vets didn't tell me everything they are busy and stressed out in that job.
