I picked a tiny bunch of green beans and steamed them tonight! Also steamed some beets and added them to the salads.

Browned off a wild hog loin roast last night and put in crockpot on low all night.. added carrots, taters, and a couple more onions this morning and it’s been gennin for 3-4 more hours.. I just added 15 quail eggs and turned it back down to keep warm.. you talk about good.. everything came from my homestead property..

DH had a huge salad with three tomatoes in it. LOL. All I grow is tomatoes, horseradish, onions, grapes, and blackberries.

And I bet its all Delicious!!!

I dug the rest of the volunteer potatoes yesterday. They were in the way of the sweet potatoes, which are really running now. They made a tasty dinner (with onions and garlic), with leftovers to go with eggs.

I made a zucchini one-dish meal yesterday. Sautéed onion, garlic scape, cabbage, kale, and zucchini, combined with browned ground beef. Added some fresh herbs right before turning it off. All grown by me except the local farm beef.

Pickled cucumbers and jalepenos, the only two things that seem to be doing well. The two prego jars are for the fridge the rest get put up.

I have a ton of cherry tomatoes (blue cream variety) and have been searching for something to do with them that doesn't involve a salad.

I came across this recipe and thought I'd try it... I have fresh garlic and fresh basil both.
