Nothing new during the day, looks like duckling is resting. Egg started moving too much, so I used paper towel to pin it down into position. I guess it might hatch during the night.
It was rolling around in the incubator, I just fixed it so it doesn't move that much. I used a paper towel, rolled it and placed it into two holes on each side of the egg, so they keep it in place. I had to add water into the bator anyway, so I needed to open it.
A few more cracks this night. It is zipping it perfectly, straight line instead of picking random location like my duckling last year. One of the eggs stopped moving, one might have internally pipped. I guess the first egg could hatch in 6 to 12 hours.
Edit: correction, all three eggs still moving. The one with smallest air cell is just taking longer rests I guess. It did not pip internally yet.
Duckling is not standing up yet like my last year's duckling did, I hope it is OK. He is probably just tired.
I gave it non-slippery surface (kitchen towel) to stand on and some quiet
Congrats on the hatch. They sometimes take a little while to get up and about. Just let him rest for a bit.
Have you checked the navel area to make sure its properly closed?
