You may want to put some shavings down on that cardboard. Once they really start to poo it's going to get slick in there, quickly.

Glad you did that. I think it's a good learning experience to see what went wrong. Sometimes I think that there's something developing in the egg, and then I realize it's just the chalazae on the yolk once I open it. I'm not fooled by that, anymore. I did, once, open up an egg that was perfectly...

Pick the eggs up. Hold them right next to your ear and tap on the shell a few times with your fingernail. If you hear chirping back, put them back in the incubator. If they've already pipped and are sitting there in the shell and it's been more than 8 hours, I'd help them out if they're still...

The only thing I don't like about the Brinsea is it's hard to clean the top. I think the Genesis is easier to clean, that's what I've heard.

That's amazing. I've had some really great hatches with fresh eggs from my flock, too. It's a great feeling. Where are you going to put all those birds??!!

Don't feel bad. I almost never see movement at the end. They are really folded in there good, you won't see them clawing to get out so to speak until it's time to hatch. Gross picture, but it illustrates a point... They stay like this until it's time to pip.

If the eggs are dark all the way though except the top, you're fine. You probably won't see movement.
