Poultry DVM lists the following possible causes of Sudden Death. I also remember a recent thread with some good discussions about the causes. If I could find it!

What I'm trying to say is, do you want to go through that list of 15 possibilities searching for what may work while continuing to lose birds - or find out rapidly exactly what is wrong and know how to proceed?
You may discover it has a simple treatment that will prevent further losses.
You may even find that it is a severely virulent disease with no cure that will require the culling of all birds and keeping the buildings vacant for 6 months.
Chickens don't get the same kind of giardia as cats or a dogs. This is not a widely understood concept even by veterinarians, and pets are blamed for the infections of a lot of others species.I know chickens can get giardia I am just not sure if they can get it from the cat.
Can you take a video of some of your chicks and upload it to YouTube, I'd like to see how they are acting.I'm having the test done. SIX dead this morning. All Goldfeather stock. Ive comtacted them and they are getting in tough with the breeder of what I ordered. One dying as we speak and one very sick being carried around in my shirt because it peeps constantly. The others just lay down and die, this one seems to have some fight in him. I've developed a sinus infection from obsessively cleaning the pens and am running a fever. So lucky chick I guess, he is toasty warm
