Two chicks that hatched from me incubating them have something wrong with one of their legs. There was a cut like wound by the knee (?) and its swollen looking. They won't weight bear on it but otherwise seem to be healthy chicks (eating, drinking, grooming, ect.) the strange thing about it is that it is the same side on both chicks. One chick will stand and hold the "bad" one up, the other is having trouble standing on the "good" side. They will be a week old on Wednesday 5/7. Any insight, recommendations, would be great! I feel bad for them and do not want to "put them down" (

sorry i don't know about this type of injury but we have 1 hen named stripe who is totally lame on one leg and is very happy and FAT! so i wouldn't cull them.
 
Welcome to BYC. I think it could be a slipped achilles tendon, but I haven't ever treated it. I have read where it is common to have swelling in the hock joint and sometimes cracked skin there. Here are a couple of links to help you:
