If I could find a way… he did seem perfectly willing to try getting inside both caravans and barns so… it’s not that much of a stretch. Of course he’s not here anymore, and I haven’t been caring for the cattle so I wasn’t really considering them… but heck those temps would have me letting even Flip inside (moms “baby lambie” and you know how I feel about sheep! Other contenders for the celebration pics… the Giant Land Chickens Gus, 24, and Rosebud:

I've posted hundreds of pictures on this thread from the tribes in Catalonia; some of the luckiest chickens in the world with regard to freedom and care.
Unfortunately the overwhelming majority of chickens don't live like that and don't look like the lovely chickens in the pictures on this thread.

So, rather than post yet another set of pictures of privileged heritage breeds bred for the backyard chicken enthusiast I thought some pictures of the boring abused Red Sex LInks that supply the majority of the eggs people buy in the UK might be appropriate.

Shad, any chicken that has you as a part of their life is doing better than she was before! Thank you for your work with these little souls. (And hey, I posted 2/3 rescues too…) Every Chicken Matters, yes, even the meat birds, and deserves the best life we can give them!

It that legal? It’s not deer season yet, and there are rules around discharging firearms. Let’s hope the are shooting a raccoon or a mink or something.

Anybody want to hear about my morning feathered drama? (Probably not) I will say it anyways: all I did this morning, was open all the doors and the chooks found their own way out of the house. They are all outside in the yard now.

I’ve actually got some twofer Tuesday photos too!

These two Broodies will hopefully co parent as well as these two new mamas are. They have three chicks, but you can’t see them here so it still counts as two chickens in the photo… even if there are actually five, right?

I’m holding little Xzit, and looking for the right phrase to get her nervous .
“Chik-Fil-A, KFC, El-pollo loco, Churches fried chicken, Popeye’s chicken, and she doesn’t seem the least bit worried!
