I plan to do a coop page. I am trying to get the original plans altered to match the final product so I can include them when I post. I hope to be able to do so soon.
No! Don't do that Bob. đŸ˜±

Changing the plans as you go along is part of the learning process. Just note the changes and why. Much more interesting and educational that way. đŸ€—

I've got some strange looking hens here and this young pullet is about as strange as they get.

With her two brothers.

The reality is the two brothers can't stay. I have someone who may take all three so I've got my fingers crossed.
She's a similar shape and feather arrangement to Alice 😍

Be careful Bob... chicken Math, and if you are wondering about the dangers of unplanned pregnancies, I could always have my little helper give you a run down on her kittie stories. Her cat managed to get knocked up, twice! Each time right before they were going to take her in to get “fixed” 9 kittens per litter... can you just imagine how cute a little troupe of Phyllis baby’s would look following you around the yard? I think you would fall into the keep them all camp, I know I would!
The cuteness quotient of a bunch of little Phyllis running around the yard would be overwhelming! :love You are correct @Kris5902, I need to be careful.

It could have been worse. I went to the coop the other day and found a snake going under the coop thru my impenatrable fortress. Then to add insult when I was in the run it found a slight flaw in the inner defenses and came into the run !!! Surprisingly the chicks didn't seemed phased by it and fortunately he found he way back under the coop. I looked him up (of course I had no camera with me) and he is a Rat snake so maybe he can earn his keep. It was about 4ft long. Got off of internet. View attachment 2123385
That is a surprise I do not want to ever have. Yowza!

I will do that but I want to post a complete set for anyone to download so they don't have to go through the learning process like I did.

I will be quite detailed on the coop build and the necessary changes over the years. Lots of photos. I have lots of photos.

Danger Will Robinson, Danger!

Something tried to chew its way into the run on Sunday night. I set up a camera last night but I did not catch anything on it.

I suppose it could be the rabbit's trying to get back in but I need to know. We are headed towards hypervigilance until I find out.

I am very concerned.

Gnawing on wood sounds like bunnies to me.
