I really wondered how that would happen. She does a nice job of grinding her head feathers in the dirt.
Absolutely! The first pass I thought it was just by accident - mine get so excited by a good bath that their heads get all covered too - but by the 3rd time it was clear she was deliberately washing her top-knot. :love

You've got good eyes there.

They should hook up online. Maybe he could friend request her on beakbook. :gig
Be careful Bob... chicken Math, and if you are wondering about the dangers of unplanned pregnancies, I could always have my little helper give you a run down on her kittie stories. Her cat managed to get knocked up, twice! Each time right before they were going to take her in to get “fixed” 9 kittens per litter... can you just imagine how cute a little troupe of Phyllis baby’s would look following you around the yard? I think you would fall into the keep them all camp, I know I would!

As a youth we not only had chickens for meat but my dad was in the rabbits as meat business as well. When he was done with raising rabbits he gave my small children one as a pet. They named it Carrot. My youngest loved it so much that when she went to law school she wanted to get a pet rabbit. Fortunately her apartment building would not allow it.
In ny family, DH is the bunny guy and I’m the chicken lady. I don’t get the bunny thing and he doesn’t get the chicken thing (even though he bought the first four chicks four years ago!)
