My 2 cents only:
As long as your relatives wouldn't be upset, I would go with the name if you think it fits piou-piou!

Aphoto board or a picture on a mug is fine. How about starting a chicken garden, though?Start by planting a perennial - anything that you like and is chicken friendly. Maybe a shrub that produces berries, or a perennial herb (such a mint or lavender, or Rosemary if it will survive where you are....and plan an area that will be 'for them'?? Or, grapes and an arbor??? Just a thought. If you do one thing at a time, it isn't so overwhelming, and each chicken will be 'contributing' to the future of your flock??
I like the idea of a chicken garden. Of course I am creating a chicken garden but I could dedicate some shrubs to individual chickens.
I treated myself (a long time ago) to those cute copper plant labels but I never used them. I could label the dedicated shrub with the chicken’s name on the fancy copper label.
Hmmm. I think I like this idea.

Roast chicken anyone?
Crazy birds. It is 92 in the shade. I just missed Maggie who started it all but has gone elsewhere for a bath.

The hawk is back with two friends. Ugh. I wonder if the drought is pushing them to hunt further afield. The nature reserve has a lot of swampland which I assume means there is good hunting - but the water levels are very low.

Likely the youngsters that were hatched this year are looking for territory.

My kiddos also threw themselves down in the sun, it’s a balmy 85f and humid…. And this evening they will be panting up a storm in the hen house ! Chickens!!

Hopefully no one minds all chick pics. Ive been taking them out into the trampoline in pairs to give em a view of the world outside the pack n play for about 10-15 minutes at time. Here are my two penguin chicks one is significantly larger then then the other could be Moss Eggers could be French Copper Maran. My guess is one of each due the size difference and slightly different combs. I also suspect roos. They are 20 days old today. Larger ones name is Season smaller Night.
Suspicion likely correct. They're sweet. The bigger comb, expect wattles to pop SOON!

Everyone is hiding by the pear tree today, Mr Pompei is keeping watch

You checking that they haven't been gifting Curly anything to go with the golf balls?

Ugh - what a depressing thought that they might be moving in permanently. There is lots of territory for them a couple of miles on, I hope they like that better!
