Yes. It is late now so I have slathered it in old cooking oil.
I think I can make a baffle for it in the morning. I grabbed four of the peaches that raccoon shook down off the tree.
Damn raccoon - in previous years they waited until they were ripe.
Aargh!

I had about 13 on my peach tree, next day, i saw 2. Those stinking squrriels were knocking them off. I only got 2 peaches this harvest, a bit of a let down, but the taste of a home grown peach is always worth the wait.

What a beauty! I would never take that out.

It's not going anywhere. It's part of the fabric of the house and I wouldn't dismantle any part of this old place unless it needed me to.

Now that’s a lovely vintage gal… makes me want to sneak into cabins and the main house here and get some pics. I might “borrow” FIL’s “Baker’s choice” stove this winter, roof etc. pending he was big on the differences between the Mennonite and Amish cookstoves. We had picked out and budgeted for a “Pioneer Princess” sigh… but there’s something special about the vintage ones. Get the firebricks and chimney inspected before you do go stoking her up though! Safety First. Now to go burn off the BBQ…

Great grandmother, Nana and Dad used to cook on her. It would've been maybe 8 years since she was last fired up, so she might still be good to go. But I'm not much of a cook, if I stray from a recipe it's usually a disaster, so I need scaffolding like temperature controls and oven lights. I'm not skilled enough for cooking on wood-fire.

It looks very cool. Love the colors and vintage look.

There was a gas stove on four legs that sat beside the wood stove and it had the same colour scheme. But when the gas guys checked it for me, it was leaking gas like crazy. I've still got it out in the shed and I hope one day to put it to use as an outdoor cooker.

Actually had several pics queued up to post....then went "wait those are for Monday this is friday" here's the right pics

Those tires make awesome waterers

Believe it or not, there's an apple in the middle of that....

Horus is getting quite the tail going

But has a ways to go...

And the boys have been such pests that the girls are staying roosted to avoid their attentions. Putting a feed dish up high generated some interesting shots. Mera slid Under Primula to get there, taking her off her foot and squishing Asphodel into the wall. Asphodel didn't seem to notice....
