I sure hope it is an abscess. That's something I have never said before. It sure what’s up with Truly, but she quite lame, she has been gimpy for a couple weeks now but just thought it was her fall in the stall.
Now tonight when I went to check the chickies were in bed, and feed horses for the night I noticed she was really lame! Anyways I dosed her with Phenalbutisone (Bute for short), it’s like aspirin- I will reassess in the morning. Wonder if she is brewing an abscess in her hoof? I love abscesses - the horse looks like it’s dying, and when you pop the abscess in their hoof it’s instant relief and they go and walk away like nothing happened!
Poor Trulyshe’s not young anymore (20).
