The issue is specimen collection. Most people are not great at collecting their own specimen. So they tell people to retest. Best practice is to take a good specimen the first time and accept the result.

There are only a couple of reliable tests on the marketplace and to my knowledge only one has actually proven the sensitivity and specificity to be "approved". The rest are still being sold and used under the EUA. It is a dirty little secret that many of them do have equally high false positive as negatives. The package insert for your test should list the sensitivity and specificity. If it does not, then you should question its reliability.

That is really helpful info so I pressed the informative button - but oooooh what a pretty picture of your little ladies looking so lovely!

Moan coming up...
I've had a few run ins with my nearest neighbour, for many months I have been unable to sleep because he has taken up the soundproofing off his living room and bedroom floors taking away all privacy or quiet. Hence no sleep for me during late nights and early mornings. This on top of wrecking my bin area plus relentlessly leaving dirt and rubbish for me too clean up after him in our shared area.

Now I love almost all animals and have rescued countless during my lifetime but this morning I had a bit of a shock too find that my messy uncaring neighbour had a taste of his own medicine because this is what I witnessed on his collection bin as I was leaving for the shops this morning  tell me about kalmar

How bout a Thursday morning rant? I have a high school friend who has been bugging me to sell out all California holdings, and move to Texas near him.
1. Why would I even think to do that?
2. If by life there in Texas is so good, why is he constantly complaining and bothering me?
3. That place is the same as any other one. You make it yourself (your own comfort zone) changing your location doesn’t mean happiness!
He’s been my friend, but I think he’s being a fool.
And he doesn’t raise chickens (I can’t trust anyone that doesn’t raise chickens) :old (No, I don’t trust my lawyers either, no chickens)
Rant over.

I'm sorry. This is a sore spot between laboratorians and epidemiologists/physicians. It gets under my skin. (Me being a laboratorian)
