Corona's sister Baby. Baby is just starting her molt. While she does not look like she has lost a lot of feathers, under all her fluff her body is a mass of pin feathers.

Corona has lost all her tail feathers but 1.

Been there, done that with my girls almost every summer. I hope you have some Benadryl on hand. After the first vet visit with my first golden over her first of many copperhead bites I now no longer rush to the vet. Snake bite protocol if it is a copperhead here is Benadryl, pain relief and antibiotics for the inevitable infection. "knocks on every piece of wood I can find", this is the first year since I do not know when that one of the girls has not been bit.

Lobo is ok, just minor swelling. Managed to get some benadryl in him so he stayed home while we took Maya to the vet. Doc recognized it immediately so he gave her 2 injections and gave us enough antibiotics for the both. Came home and gave Lobo his antibiotics in a piece of meat by Maya is not eating yet. Looks like Maya got struck on the nose and throat but Lobo only got hit once. He helped me eat my lunch so the goofball is ok but I'll keep a close eye on both.

Well, a little over 3 weeks into the school year and Rosie is down with something. I had to keep her home from school and after a several hour run-a-rounds with her doctor trying to get her in we have to go to the after hours clinic. She has no fever, but, she never runs one, even when she had covid last year. Going by how fast this hit her, and her symptoms, I'm fairly certain she either has round 2 of covid or the rhinovirus that is running rampant right now.

I keep baby aspirin and benadryl on hand for the pups. If I had been here when it happened they would have gotten the benadryl a little sooner but all said we are blessed to have great veterinarians 10 minutes away and they care for all animals ❤

Great vets help. There is a bottle of aspirin and benadryl just for the dogs always on hand. Thankfully our vet bought some land up above me and has been logging it for years so he is almost daily up our holler. When the snake bite happens, give him a call and he drops off the antibiotics to the house without a farm call fee. Of course he also stops by about once a month to "chat" with dad over Dirt. Same old conversation every time. "How is he doing, you've not gelded him yet have you, I want a son of his." lol. Dad always replies that he has no plans to breed him and the vet throws back but he has the perfect mare.
