Oh me too! And this year was particularly bad for fruit flies.
I made traps all over the kitchen. I think they are mostly gone now.

oh great I am not the only one dealing with fruit flies.

Hmmm, @MaryJanet I think this chart is flawed. I don't see death by drop bear on there at all.

That chart must either be completely wrong, or an anomaly. Are drop bears susceptible to Covid? Have they been in hiding/ self imposed lock down?

Like Ponypoor I need to win the lottery as well. Everyone will know it when it happens. Suddenly there will be a couple of every variety of Marans out there right now in my front yard. Even those that will have to be smuggled out of Australia.

Yup. That is what they do.
The trick is a funnel so they can go into a jar but can’t fly out.
You can also use plastic wrap (I re-use pieces that come on packages of cheese etc from the grocery stores) and once it is stretched over a jar with bait (a bit of fruit works well) then stab it with a skewer a few times. They come into the jar through the holes but can’t get out.
I then pop the whole jar in the freezer and it kills them all and bring it back out and start over.

What do you put in the jar?
