Hi folks. Popping in. All is well with my birds. All five of the older ones are in full blown molt and I think two of the three younger ones may start, too.

We had a significant (for California) storm last weekend. It’s wonderful, yet a little odd, to be seeing green sprouts everywhere. The chickens are loving it!

If anyone cares to fill me in if I’ve missed any big events the past couple weeks, I’d appreciate an update.

Glad you are okay - nice to see you, you have been missed! Lot's of peoples chickens on this thread are mo;ting early this year, too!

As of 10 minutes ago I find myself with a problem I have not had in almost 2 years. Until tomorrow morning sometime, I do not have a single fresh egg. I have a whole dozen garbage eggs in the fridge . I have a few new egg customers. Of course, if I keep them as customers this gives me a reason to add more girls right?

Hi Michelle, good to see you! I believe not much has been going on, just chickens molting like @bgmathteach said. However, I could have totally overlooked things.

Poor little love.

Princess has lost so many feathers. I'm so worried because we had frost this morning. It's warm now but cold at night

Oh well that is pretty clear.
Sorry to cast doubt - I was thrown by the look of the flowers.

It was me messing up writing dogwood instead of wormwood. I've hung two bunches in my kitchen. I hope I can work out how to use it for a wormer for my animals I need to find out which animal can use this too

You are most welcome to benefit from my extensive expertise.
After studying the (gorgeous) pictures, I am quite confident in saying that the lovely Piou-piou is still a chicken.
