Just cheap acrylic spray paint. Or any paint leftover from ACE hdwr in town.I have a couple and was thinking of doing something like that. What kind of paint do you use?
It’s light enough to just remove in winter - my gang won’t go outside when it gets really cold and snowy. Not yet. We can find out together.![]()

That's not cool. I'm glad you figured it out.Listen, I almost accidentally did that yesterday. I came out to find Raven had decided it was time to take the chicks off the nest. She is fighting with Blueberry in the process. I see a blue chick also with Blueberry and assumed it was Raven's and that is what the fight was about so I stuck it up with the others. Only then did I realize my mistake as there is 6 chicks in Raven's nest not 5 and 2 blue ones. I lift up Blueberry and sure enough she had a early hatched chick. The only thing that saved me from possibly messing up the 2 blue chicks is thankfully Raven's blue chick was starting to get feathers on it wing tips. If not for that I would not have known who was who.
Dorothy is getting her feathers back also, but those one feathers on her wings are still sticking out! That's from a few weeks ago. She is re-feathered now. Even has her tail back
I would still put the warm bricks out there for a while. She may decide she likes them. Not possible. She walks through that one to get to her preferred one.
I have a strong sense this is not a war I will win.
All I can say is WOWTook YS out for driving practice.
