Those above were the 'littles' from August.

Below: the brother to @RoyalChick 's girls., followed by poor momma hen. She is saying "Really, you are taking a picture of me when I just got done chasing the kids and my feathers (hair) is a mess? ( Evidently being a chicken mum is not much different than being a human mum. Only with Chickens, the kids never leave your coop! :lau )

BTW, I mentioned earlier that is was 28F around dawn this morning. It's gone up more than 20 degrees. 52, and still rising. Beautiful sunny day.

Pause to go take pics

Meanwhile KrenView attachment 3293233Keeping watch down below

Asphodel and Twirp were working on eggs (or at least going through the motions) and Thing was having a bite in the coop. But where are Silver and Pear? Started looking around slowly, checking down below to no avail. On my way back up, caught Pippa being curiousView attachment 3293230

Circled the garage, checking the carport....no....View attachment 3293228They found the residual warmth from the fire last night.View attachment 3293227Storm has been in the area too.

View attachment 3293226They're feeling better, still have a ways to go on the moult, but dandelion greens and pea tree seeds are the mid morning forage of choice.
That is a glorious photo of Cheetah.

While Maleficent was super friendly, Aurora refuses to be touched. Not every EE is going to be friendly.

Good point. As you know, my Margo, a Leghorn, was quick, but I would not call her “flighty.” And she was a very cuddly hen. Though there may be breed linked personality traits, they really all have their own!
