Good Night Chickies

Seems that Curly and Henny Penny are back from broody-land. It freaks me out when Curly wants to roost on the high roost. Those Silkies can’t fly worth but they sure can do a good faceplant! Marty can launch herself from her little cubbyhole there fairly decently!

But this shows how Curly dominates Buttercup, who was chased up in the window casing, but how Rose then dominates Curly.

Wish they could all just get along!

Henny and Curly snuggled together, buttercup taking refuge in the window, Whiskers and Rose keeping their distance.

Some have a prime location

And Fluffy still broody

So tired been sleeping since 3 this afternoon. I hate having health issues and taking lots of meds. Hubby checked to make sure all the chooks went to bed.

I have that issue - but now that I have begun to renovate the barn it’s amazing what I thought I had lost!

My big worry now is finding a hoard of hidden eggs hahaha!

Yes! I too am renovating the barn - and finding things that previous generations of folk have hoarded too!

Loquacious, not necessarily loud, but it means 'talkative'. tending to talk a great deal'. And you can nick-name her Loqui (low-key).
She is a girl after my & @RoyalChick 's Maggie's heart!

I should start calling my son that!

Thanks for asking @ManueB. I am afraid Maggie is not doing well at all.
I was sure she would die during the night and I hardly slept at all I was so upset.
But she is still with us. Just.
She is spending most of her time isolating herself in her nest box. She came out for a couple of hours this morning but has now gone back in.
She will eat fresh corn and blueberries and will chat to me while she eats (I serve them to her in her bed). But it looks like she is getting close to the end of the road.
