Jaffar update: he’s eating well. (Chopped tri tips steak) . And I’m watching over him closely. He’s my buddy and I don’t want anything to happen to him!

Mine haven't even crowed yet they are still young I guess. 9 weeks old

We shall see how happy they are when they see me carrying a bridle to go for a ride!!! Hahaha!

EGG ANNOUNCEMENT

White egg is Indigo

Green egg is likely Maizie as she hatched from a blue egg, but all the roos there are either brown or blue/green based.

Indigo has surprisingly beaten her sister to egg (unless Lark has been hiding them).

Maizie has been red combed for a while.

Sometimes the crow is "all's well". With the hawk in the area, he may be going with the "quiet when the tiger walks" philosophy, and may have been aware of its presence before you were.

I have been thinking on this, and I haven’t heard him crowing since that incident a few weeks ago when they all scattered into the brush and goldenrod where he got stuck. After a likely hawk scare.

I wonder if he became traumatized? Or injured in a way I don’t see??

At any rate I am taking a wait and see approach since he is acting normal otherwise. Not much else I can do anyways!

He gained energy and wanted to go outside. (His ladies are out there) he’s moving slowly, but he’s determined.
