Good morning Grumpy Chicken. If you were here I would give you some shrimp tails as treats.

I got dried shrimp treats for chickens. Mine love shrimp. They are not at all interested in dried shrimp. They only like shrimp cooked for people.
Sigh.

I have a dilemma. Rosie picked up a small order of shrimp last night and saved the tails for the chickens. Problem is, if you count chicks, I have over 30 chickens and only 6 shrimp tails. I'm thinking Branch needs to come inside for a special treat. He will not eat anything offered outside as he gives it to the hens and chicks. Sometimes he does his job too well and I think he needs some spoiling.

Well there is no dilemma that I can see! Of course Branch gets them

Indeed so! The treats I got are dried river shrimp and minnows. They smell quite fishy and you can clearly see they are shrimp and minnows - there was a whole small fish in there.
I got them at Tractor Supply and thought they would be a big hit. I wonder if they would like it better if I rehydrated them, or if they really don't like inferior quality shrimp!
I always give them the shrimp tails from my Pad Thai treat (I get that for myself once a week) and they go nuts.
Hmmm.

Well, Branch or Butter, one of those 2. But then, they all go nuts over shrimp. If frozen shrimp was not 15 a pound I would pick up a bag for them. If I am paying that much for shrimp though, it is for Rosie to eat.

I need to make a small off topic complaint. I am sleep deprived, and really so is mom. Grandma is not sleeping much anymore due to the dementia. I think she has slept maybe 4 hours the last 3 days. For the past 2 weeks she has been like this. Several days no sleep then crashing for a day or two and then repeat the process. I've been told the insomnia is only going to get worse. Her dr tried to get her to agree to a prescription for a sleeping pill. She refused and said she had no trouble sleeping.

Complaining tax.

I would have sworn you MEANT to say 'Love a good frosty MUG" especially when filled with adult beverage, that is!


My sweet gimpy girl seems to be doing better every day:

Her 'friend', surprisingly enough, stays in their box.....EXCEPT when I take gimpy girl out for therapy...then she doesn't like being alone and gets into trouble! Here she is escaping their box:

So, I thought they could both use a bit of time out of their Tiny Home, and brought her out after therapy session with Gimpy Girl:
