So I would say it’s a lash egg. Which may or may not indicate any infection.

This is what I found

So sounds like it can happen and is likely not a cause for alarm.
Yes. A one off lash egg is probably not an issue - but more than one and I would suspect something is going on.
Maggie survived 2 years after her first lash egg and I do not believe she died of salpingitis even though she laid lash eggs in August of this year.
No need to panic - but observe carefully.

Thank you. It's almost 14 months since she escaped the battery cage. I just want her to have more of a life and princess needs her.

Wow she sure has become a beautiful girl!
She is very interesting. Although she is afraid of me, and respectful of Diana (except to get her roost spot), she has a lot of self confidence.
She also gets the zoomies - just like cats do - when she suddenly, for no apparent reason, runs really fast all over the place and sometimes leaps in the air. The other day she went vertically up 6' for no reason other than she can!
I just wish she liked me more.

I believe in treating as well. As a precaution, just in case it is salpingitis.

It is OK. I will win her around eventually. I am hampered a bit in that she doesn't go wild for most treats. The thing she likes most is fresh corn on the cob. Diana was on my table eating one yesterday, Bernie is tall enough that she doesn't need to come up on the table to get the corn. But she did stand on my foot - so I will take that for now!
