Yes. A one off lash egg is probably not an issue - but more than one and I would suspect something is going on.So I would say it’s a lash egg. Which may or may not indicate any infection.

So sounds like it can happen and is likely not a cause for alarm.
Maggie survived 2 years after her first lash egg and I do not believe she died of salpingitis even though she laid lash eggs in August of this year.
No need to panic - but observe carefully.
