The Deck!

The Rascals finally made it onto the deck today. This is the longest it has ever taken for new pullets to get up onto the deck. They came up with Phyllis. Here they are enjoying some meal worms.

You will note that after having eaten some meal worms Lady Featherington went to the edge of the deck and stood sentinel while the others ate.

Good Lady F! She is such a lovely girl, when do you think they will start to lay eggs?

That must feel good to see. It seems like your group is becoming a cohesive little flock. I am happy for them and you also, I think all your girls are gorgeous but Lady Featherington is just stunning the speckles are really beautiful.

They really operate as a single unit. This is the easiest integration I have had yet.

Poor Hen-Rietta is missing so many feathers. I feel sorry for her. She’s inside with me tonight. Jaffar is doing well, but it’s supposed to be cold tonight. He’s outside with his ladies.
