Loved the video! I didn't find it too long. It looks like they have a lot of space and ventilation and that you will have possibilities to either change things if you need, or add some more chickens. ( not that I'm telling you to🤣).

What kind of climate do you have ? I was wondering about using OSB panels outside but they seem to be very well sheltered in the case of your coop.
And not on the video but I would love to see more pictures of Brownie, I think she's turning out very pretty.
Do you have any news of the people you rehomed the two cockerels to by any chance ?
I didn’t like to mention the more chickens uin case I got branded an enabler. But the attic got me thinking. I think it is @micstrachan who has an upper story to her coop. I am sitting here imagining opening up the attic for the chickens and there being room for @knoturavggrl to add even more more!

Haha! I might already have thought of creating a second coop and run on the other side of that shed … lol. Keeping it small and reasonable is hard to do when you have 8 acres of possibilities!
For the moment though getting through a full year and learning as much as I can is the goal.

Not necessary at this time. But I can find it cheaper in Winnipeg than California. But that’s a flight to Canada šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦
Or a drive!

Winnipeg is lovely in the summer 😊 but there is a reason we call it Winterpeg!

I spent a delightful 6 months in Brandon MB (3 hrs from winterpeg), that is were I was presented with Missy Georgette Bootsie 😊. The summer was HOT and windy and smokey from forest fires, and Fall was not even 2 weeks long and winter began the 3rd of Oct with a huge snowfalll and it went downhill from there! I came home on the 22nd Dec with Missy and was glad to be home!

It’s actually another glorious day here today

The video is longish its about three and half minutes. I have zero knowledge on how to edit sorry. Hopefully you guys enjoy it anyway :)

That’s wonderful I love your covered run, and the leaves are perfect! My gang loves rooting through leaves also 🄰

Four nest boxes should be good, I have 7 and they only really use the one, preferring to go and lay their eggs in a small animal crate in the shavings room. I am going to stop that today though.

I hear you on that crooked board I had a similar situation when I first got the kiddos!

Thanks for sharing!
