Gorgeous eggs!
I had to look this up as it sounded like some kind of psychedelic amphetamine, but I was so disappointed - plain old paracetamol 🤣.

Congratulations to you and @TX Chick Noob for getting all that done. Now I'm feeling ashamed of being sore for what little activity I did yesterday 🤣.

I'm very interested in reading that some of you make change to roosts location ! I've only added roosts, but never moved any, and I'm now wondering if it could help us with our rooster Theo's aggressive behaviour at bedtime. (We have found a middle term solution to relocating either Gaston and his hens, or Théo and Chipie depending on how things goes). In the actual coop the four teenagers chickens including Gaston sleep on a roost that is just 50 cm (20 inches) above Théo's roost. This means Théo tries every night to jump on Gaston to chase him off. There is a free roost available but no one wants to move there.
Theo's roost is a mobile structure : do you think it would be helpful to move it, either to widen the space between Gaston and him, or to completely change it's location to force Théo to roost elsewhere ? Or would it just make things worse ?

@bgmathteach Thank you for the input regarding Chipie's feathers and that she may be doing a second molt. It could indeed be that as she's behaving like a molting lady !

Mugs for Monday, and wishing a nice week to all of you.

Oh no! That looks like a real snow. I imagine they think it is all your fault. :gig

I confess I don't think I could cope with real snow this early on a regular basis. We did once get a big storm here in October and lost a lot of trees because the leaves were still on them. I spent the entire night (no exaggeration) going out with a long pole and bashing the snow off the trees around the house to preserve them and avoid roof disaster. But that was a freak event.

I reall like having seasons and would not want to live somewhere that didn't have all four of them, and I love them all in their own way, but they must stay firmly in the correct place in the calendar. That means strictly NO SNOW before mid-December!

Hope you were more prepared than I am right now - I still need to go around and pick up 'stuff' that will get buried and lost come snow.

I'm quite confused? Cats making biscuits on his shoulders?

And how did you make it look like I said that....🤔 Hmmm, good to know you can 'put words in other's mouths'!🤔 Now I just need to learn how to do it!

:lau:lau
Yes. Hmmm.
Putting words in your mouth was why I apologized. And no, I have no idea how I did that!
Over @MaryJanet's thread she was trying to teach me the multi-quote function that @ManueB uses so effectively.
I obviously didn't follow instructions closely enough!
Rest assured however, that if I every figure out how to do that intentionally I will use that power to create maximum havoc. Like all those folk who changed their Twitter handle to Elon Musk over the last 48 hours. :gig :gig

do you think it would be helpful to move it, either to widen the space between Gaston and him, or to completely change it's location to force Théo to roost elsewhere ?
Yes, I do. Changing roosts has been very helpful to me. The addition of the high roost got Aurora up away from the others. Splitting the roost enabled Phyllis and the Rascals to roost together safely. I'm hoping these changes in the roosts in the main coop result in Betty being able to roost safely again.

Eggcellent 😊 never suffer when you need rest (I am sure Mrs By-Bob makes sure of this ❤️).

How did they do last night? Did they make a roost selection? Or was there any drama for wanting a prime spot?
I noticed you checked the cameras. They really did not have a chance to choose since I was putting the roof on as they roosted. Tonight's drama will better tell how they like it.
